A body, six lives.

The work moves through the liminal between life and death. Accompanied \\ shaped by conversations with people who each carry a different view of life, the performance asks what happens when we look at the one thing we all have in common, and have never seen.

bareskin (within/without) is a continuation of an earlier work by young artists Jacobus Benning and Bo Oskamp, rooted in gelatine applied to the body. A second skin which initially provides shelter, but when hardened out becomes unbearably painful. A rebirth of the self.
